  • Resume Data: Resume files you upload for ATS analysis, including the text content extracted from PDF, DOCX, or TXT files.
  • Interview Data: Your responses during AI mock interview sessions, including text-based answers and any audio recordings if you use voice interview features.
  • Communication Data: Text and conversation inputs during communication coaching sessions.
  • Contact Information: Name, email address, and message content submitted through our contact form.
  • Job Preferences: Desired role, location, salary preference, work mode preference, and skills for job matching.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, interaction patterns, timestamps, and referral sources.
  • Device Information: Browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and IP address.
  • Cookies and Tracking: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To provide AI mock interviews, resume analysis, communication coaching, job matching, and dashboard analytics.
  • Personalization: To tailor interview questions, job recommendations, and improvement suggestions to your profile and career goals.
  • Progress Tracking: To calculate and display your confidence score, XP, streaks, interview history, and skill improvement metrics.
  • AI Processing: Your resume text and interview responses are processed by AI models (including Google Gemini) to generate analysis reports, scoring, and feedback. We do not use your data to train AI models.
  • Communication: To respond to your inquiries, send service updates, and provide customer support.
  • Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our features, user experience, and AI coaching quality.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized access, and other security issues.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate our platform:
    • Clerk — Authentication and user management
    • Firebase / Firestore — Database storage and hosting
    • Google Gemini AI — AI-powered analysis and feedback generation
    • Vercel / Netlify — Application hosting and deployment
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Confidently, our users, or the public.

Your data is stored using Firebase/Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, secure authentication tokens, and access controls to protect your personal information.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
  • Interview & Resume Data: Retained for as long as your account is active to provide progress tracking and history.
  • Contact Form Data: Retained for up to 12 months for support purposes.
  • Usage Analytics: Aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.
